Position : General Manager
Location : Murfreesboro, TN
We are a 3rd generation family flooring business proud to be serving the Murfreesboro, TN market. Currently we're hiring for a knowledgeable, hands on General Manager with a passion for flooring sales who will work closely with our sales team while communicating with the Operations Department to help continue the growth and success of our business.
Duties and responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :
Lead and motivate a team of sales and administrative staff to achieve individual and team sales goals.
Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.Assist with sales, review estimates and support growth of business.Encourage and plan staff development trainings networking with vendors for product supportManage customer relationships and handle escalated issues.Visual Merchandising :
Ensure a visually appealing showroom with displays to showcase products effectively and product placement / presentation are consistent with brand standards.Stay up to date on trends and promotions.Customer Service :
Greet and engage customers in a professional manner.Provide detailed product information and answer customer questions.Handle customer concerns and complaints effectively.Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.Reporting and Analysis :
Generate sales reports and analyze key performance indicators.Identify trends and opportunities to improve sales performance.Prepare sales forecasts and budget plans.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Previous flooring industry experience with at least 4+ years proven experience managing a showroom or similar settingExperience and knowledge of a variety of flooring materials (tile, laminate, carpet, wood, natural stone, etc) required.Leadership, team management skills with a great attitudeVisual merchandising and product presentation knowledgeComputer Proficiency ( We use RFMS and will train)Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends, review estimates and awareness of marginsHighly OrganizedStrong communication skillsParticipate and assist in planning of company events supporting good business and positive company culture. ( lunches, bowling, sales events, etc)Exercises independent judgment and initiativePosition requires standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling and balance- maneuvering through the showroom and warehouse. Must speak clearly and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
