Job Title :   Oracle Developer

Location :   Merrifield, VA 22082

Salary / Payrate :   $60 / HR 1099 or $105K W2 (Plus benefits and PTO)

Work Environment :   Hybrid (1 day remote, 4 days onsite)

Term :   Contract to Hire (Potential to convert to FTE after 6 months)

Bachelor’s degree required :   Yes

Referral Fee : AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired

Our federal client is looking to hire an Oracle Developer at their facilities in Merrifield, VA 22082. Please send your resume in WORD format should you be interested in exploring this role. The position is on a contract to hire basis and will pay an hourly rate of $60 / HR 1099, dependent on experience. We also offer the option of a W2 annual salary of $105K, with full benefits and PTO.

  • Due to the required clearance with our government client, only US Citizens, Green Card and Green Card EAD holders may be considered. Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days

Requirements

  • Support existing ASP / IIS / Java / Eclipse / WebSphere application
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • Oracle Database development experience (PL / SQL scripting, SLQ optimization, database maintenance)
  • UNIX / Linux experience (Shell scripting)
  • Knowledge of computer data-structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Source Control s / w (Git, Subversion, etc.)
  • Optional skills which are a plus
  • VB.NET, C# .NET Development Experience
  • C / C++ Development Experience
  • Classic ASP VBScript
  • Perl scripting
  • Perform software development, testing, and provide support in all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Windows experience
  • Ability to perform analysis and design.
  • In depth knowledge of software engineering techniques and concepts.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently or coordinate as part of a development team with other software engineers.
  • Ability to provide support to issues in production
