Legal Assistants for our client in South Carolina. Responsibilities- Establishes and organizes case files for new and existing clients
- Maintains case management system by uploading all client documents
- Keeps clients informed regularly by maintaining contact with clients and communicating case progress
- Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences, preparing pleadings, etc.
- Monitor and obtain discovery responses
- Request medical records from providers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements- 2-5 years’ experience as a legal assistant or case manager
- College Education preferred but not required
- Experience using a case management system, preferably Litify
- Strong Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to multitask and strong organization skills
- Strong client/colleague communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
