Tax Director - Georgetown, CT ($150K-$200K + Bonus)
A rapidly expanding public accounting practice is seeking a Tax Director for its Georgetown , CT office. The firm is known for its supportive culture, modern systems, and commitment to developing future leaders. This role offers a clear path to partnership for high-performing professionals.
Role Overview
You'll take ownership of a broad tax portfolio, guide complex engagements, and serve as a strategic advisor to high-net-worth individuals and business clients. This position requires strong technical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee complex tax returns-individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and gift
- Lead tax planning and advisory work for high-net-worth clients
- Conduct tax research and present clear recommendations to clients and internal leadership
- Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service across all engagements
- Draft and review responses to federal and state tax authority notices
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals
