We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team at a dynamic nonprofit organization in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role requires a skilled financial leader who can oversee and optimize the organization's accounting operations while managing a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in nonprofit financial management, revenue cycle processes, and proficiency in Sage software.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of five or more staff, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor and improve revenue cycle management within the healthcare sector to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to executive leadership for informed decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to 501(c)(3) regulations and maintain compliance with all applicable financial laws and policies.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions to safeguard the organization's financial integrity.
- Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting and expense tracking, to optimize resources.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost-saving measures within financial systems.
- Proven experience in financial management within a nonprofit organization, including knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising and developing staff.
- Expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management and related processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with executive leadership and other departments.
