The driver will also drive on freeways and city streets in either a box truck or cargo van. We are actively hiring for a Box Truck Driver for our plant in Van Nuys, CA
Shift : 10 : 00am - 7 : 00pm
Pay Range : $19 / hr - $22hr
Please note : Compensation decisions are made in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and education
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Check and inspect the vehicle that will be used to ensure it is in good running condition prior to operation each day
- Check jobs that will need to be delivered to different locations
- Shrink wrap jobs in a pallet for safe loading and handling
- Load and help unload jobs at different locations
- Report any workplace hazards to management immediately
- Ensure all equipment or tools to be used are in good working order, free of any safety hazards and proper for the task at hand
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned
- The Driver position will have the following physical requirements :
- Standing / Walking (at least 25% of shift)
- Sitting (at least 75% of shift)
- Lifting / Pushing / Pulling up to 40 lb. (at least 25% of shift)
- Bending / Twisting / Squatting (at least 25% of shift)
