Digital Division Intern

Intern Position

The Digital Division Intern position is designed to be part of a shared rotation and developmental learning program, involving various support, service, general business, and project tasks that focus on positively impacting the business activities of INSURIConnect and INSURICA Express.

Essential functions include : participating in a flexible pathway learning program, focusing on developing the skills needed for a potential sales production or service role; participating in job rotations in various departments; developing a base layer of P&C insurance knowledge; developing and maintaining a comprehensive training manual; providing prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service to customers and prospects; developing basic knowledge of the various information management systems; assisting each department in processing new and renewal business; and supporting each department with special insurance-related projects.

Additional responsibilities include : developing other duties as needed; developing specific performance objectives; and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include : good PC skills with a focus on Microsoft Office; self-starter, imaginative, analytical, and creative; ability to acquire knowledge for, study, and pass the insurance licensing exam; good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment; self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed; regular and punctual attendance; ability to communicate effectively; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to promote, and maintain a team environment; and ability to adhere to company policies and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications include : bachelor's degree program (completed or in process) preferred; previous business or administration experience preferred; and ability to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequently. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Requires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video display.
