Messenger (Local, AZ Only)

MESSENGER Job Responsibilities Pick up and deliver mail throughout Project facilities and departments, traveling to the various locations by driving a light motor vehicle. Sort incoming mail according to department location and mail type. Utilize all manner of computerized systems and tools necessary to perform the work within the department. Operate various machines connected with the printing, sorting, collating, labeling, inserting, weighing, metering, bar-coding, and distribution of mail and packages. Perform related clerical work and maintain records generated as a result of postal and / or shipping records. Assist other employees when workloads vary or are adjusted by the lead messenger or management. Ensure safety and security procedures are implemented and followed. Determine appropriate safety actions beyond guidelines and report potentially unsafe conditions or behavior. Ensure proper management of unused materials and preparation for transfer to proper locations. Perform record keeping and shipping and receiving services USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other Priority mail including letters, small parcels and box deliveries. Observe safety and security procedures. Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines. Report potentially unsafe conditions or behaviors. Perform light manual tasks related to mail services. Employee must work safely and efficiently in the performance of their job duties. Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and the public. Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and have the ability to accurately and legibly complete applicable paper work. May be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime
