• 1 year of relevant salon experience required
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
• Presents a professional, well-groomed appearance; provided uniforms must be worn in the Spa and must be laundered and pressed.
• Show all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail.
• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent guest service skills; Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly personality; Be a team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills; Must be able to comprehend instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, calm and composed demeanor while under stress.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Provide high-quality manicures and pedicures includes removing old nail polish from fingernails and toenails, cleaning nails, shaping the ends of the nail, pushing back cuticles, and applying new polish based on guests’ preferences.
• Promote/upsell salon and spa treatments and services.
• Evaluate the condition of guests’ nails and advise them on proper nail care and suitable solutions and nail care treatments.
• Sanitization of all salon instruments and equipment before each use.
• Ensuring that workstations and equipment are kept clean and orderly, and all supplies are adequately stocked.
• Provide all nail extension services including acrylic, gel, and builder gel.
• Build a client base through referrals and utilization of available promotional materials.
• General knowledge of the features and benefits of professional and retail products.
• Perform Salon duties while always maintaining the guests’ comfort.
• Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations.
• Actively participate in other areas of the spa operations, nail, hair, etc., product knowledge, and retail sales.
• Building and maintaining guest profiles to anticipate future needs and deliver superior service
• Arrive on time for scheduled shift, be prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Properly opens and closes each shift according to standard operating procedures.
• Disposal of garbage and used linens effectively, efficiently, on time, and as instructed.
• Maintain proper equipment care and use appropriate amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
• Upholds the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Respond to guest requests, complaints, or inquiries professionally, courteously, and promptly.
• Develops ability to work without constant direct supervision and remains at assigned post for extended periods; Performs prep work, properly cleans and restocks room as required.
• Assists in all areas of the spa operation as needed or requested.
• Communicates to management all occurrences involving guests and/or team members in the spa that require attention.
• Attending all scheduled Spa, Resort, and departmental meetings.
• Ensure confidentiality of guest information.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
• Act following established guidelines; follow standard procedures; recognize and comply with written rules or practices.
• Adapt and interact with people who have different values, cultures, or backgrounds, be of service to all guests, and recognize the benefits of having a diverse workforce.
• Adhere to AAA service standards and policies
• Adheres to all grooming standards as outlined by leadership

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

• Ability to earn and maintain a Gaming License.
• Must possess a current manicurist or cosmetology license through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology
