Duties Description Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Psychiatrist 2 Forensic to provide a full range of care and treatment to individuals incarcerated in the State and County Correctional System. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As a Psychiatrist 2 Forensic at Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, you will be part of a diverse interdisciplinary team focused on providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and evidence based treatment including :

• Performing psychiatric screenings, evaluations, and examinations.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures, diagnosing, and treating various psychiatric conditions.
• Administering psychiatric treatments, medications, and therapies. Conducting follow-up exams and modifying treatments as needed.
• Collaborating with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans and approves treatment recommendations.
• Competency restoration.
• Correctional mental health services.
