Clinical Laboratory Technician
Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Technician performs analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories using highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing with sophisticated instrumentation.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
Troubleshoot assays and evaluate tests for accuracy.
Assist with interpreting results.
Engage in operational support activities to optimize testing.
Work with multiple computer systems for retrieving information and reporting results.
Possibly assist with specimen collection.
Isolate and manipulate PBMCs from patient blood specimens in a BioSafety Cabinet.
Use manual pipettes and demonstrate manual dexterity for laboratory techniques.
Freeze, thaw, and plate cells for clinical assays.
Learn and apply aseptic techniques, if not already experienced.
Learn and use several software programs required for clinical lab technologists.

Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
