Electrical Engineer

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on MEP experience to join a respected engineering consulting firm supporting mission-critical projects across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

This hybrid role offers flexible hours (with core work hours being 9 AM–3 PM), paid overtime, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects in the life sciences and technology sectors.

Responsibilities for the Electrical EngineerInclude:

• Design and develop electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with codes and standards
• Collaborate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure integrated MEP designs
• Support cost estimating and documentation for project proposals
• Attend client meetings to review progress, resolve technical issues, and explore future opportunities

Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer Include:

• BSEE preferred; BSME/BSAE still considered
• PE license (or on track to get PE license)
• Experience with cleanroom design and life sciences infrastructure
• Revit MEP or AutoCAD experience is a plus
