Job Title
Essential job duties and responsibilities include evaluating, releasing, maintaining, and expediting production orders to support assembly line schedule dates and satisfy service parts demand requirements. Verify material availability of all components before releasing work orders to production. Establish priorities for all assigned work centers and work closely with manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to priorities. Perform duties associated with machine serial number assignments and factory orders distribution. Evaluate planning item branch data in JDE on a regular basis, ensuring that all planning-related parameters are accurately maintained. Analyze inventories to maintain the lowest possible inventory level while still meeting demand requirements. Evaluate inventory regularly to identify slow-moving and obsolete items and recommend appropriate disposition. Communicate all issues, both current and potential future, that will have a significant impact on the plant scheduling of operations. Process engineering change notices for timely, accurate, and cost-effective implementation into production. Develop, maintain, and report key performance indicators that will drive continuous improvements in production planning processes. Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required from time to time.
Position requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of three years related experience, production planning and inventory control techniques, knowledge of MRP functionality including action messages, netting functionality, pegging, and independent / dependent demand, knowledge of pull systems, proven knowledge of BOM usage, structures, and where-used functionality. Must be a good communicator, work well with people, and be able to work in a fast-paced, continually changing / improving environment.
Salary range : $54,454 - $77,792 / year plus bonus.
