We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer (I / II) to help serve our connection of clients and community. The projected range of compensation in Illinois for this job is $70,000 - $80,000.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Assist in the design and development of transportation projects including roadways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and traffic improvements.
• Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations, including horizontal / vertical alignments, grading, drainage, quantities, and traffic control layouts.
• Support preparation of project documents such as cost estimates, technical reports, design summaries, and bid packages.
• Conduct field visits to support data collection, condition assessments, surveying coordination, or construction observations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions and ensure project quality.
• Assist with preparation of ODOT, DOT, LPA, or municipal submittals and ensure adherence to applicable design standards and guidelines.
• Review and interpret topographic surveys, geotechnical reports, environmental documents, and utility data.
• Participate in coordination with clients, utility companies, and permitting agencies as needed.
• Contribute to internal QA / QC processes, documentation, and design reviews.
