Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing

As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Verdi, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves managing access points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. You will work as part of a dedicated team, upholding our core values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, while contributing to a welcoming and secure environment for everyone on site.

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals as they enter or exit the facility, following site-specific protocols established by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following company and client procedures for reporting and escalation.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or emergencies according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, and access control devices as directed.
  • Follow emergency response procedures for fire, medical, and / or other critical events as required on-site.
  • Collaborate with team members and site personnel to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
