Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting.

You will be responsible for charting and conducting assessments.

Charge duties and medication administration will be part of your responsibilities.

Clinical skills required include IVs, catheters, and ostomy care.

The patient population consists primarily of elderly individuals with diagnoses such as dementia and those requiring rehabilitation.

The facility consists of 70 beds, with the majority being private.

The ratio of RN to residents is 1 : 20.

You will work alongside Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.

There are no telemetry monitors on this unit.

Nurses are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab.

Physician availability is ensured after hours.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes therapy, social workers, and dietary staff.

Pharmacy services are available on-site, along with a medication dispensing system.

You will follow a block schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements in place.

There is no on-call requirement.

Floating to other units may be necessary.

Dress code requires solid color scrubs that are clean and professional.
