UNC Health is seeking a Per Diem BC / BE Pediatric Physician to join our Pediatric Hospitalist practice at the large regional campus in Wilmington, NC. This multi-specialty practice and children’s hospital is part of an innovative partnership between UNC and Novant Health to provide specialty care to children from communities throughout southeastern and coastal NC. The Novant Health – New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NH-NHRMC) facility and Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital is a full spectrum community-based, children’s hospital that serves as the tertiary care children’s hospital for southeastern NC.
This position is a clinically focused role in a regional community children’s hospital with a strong connection to a large academic group and quaternary children’s hospital.

About the Campus
At NH-NHRMC, there are approximately 4200 deliveries per year and 2700 admissions with referrals from multiple other centers in the region. The pediatric care team includes neonatology, pediatric surgery and anesthesia, pediatric critical care, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and other related specialties. Facilities include an eight-bed pediatric ICU and an eighteen-bed pediatric acute care floor. There are over sixty faculty and advanced practice providers at this regional campus, with ongoing clinical expansion. The UNC School of Medicine campus is growing, and up to 60 medical students will be located here for 3rd and 4th years. The UNC-NH partnership is investing in research at the Wilmington campus.
Location
Wilmington, NC, a coastal city of ~125,000 people, located in the southeastern corner of North Carolina between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. The area offers a four-season climate, historic preservation district, cultural events, and access to multiple beaches within a short drive.
