What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or security-related concerns.

Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues to appropriate personnel and / or law enforcement as directed.

Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying the identity of individuals, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.

Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.

Communicate and interact with shelter staff, residents, and visitors to promote a welcoming and secure environment.

Remain alert and attentive to the unique needs of the shelter location, adapting to changing circumstances and following all site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
