We are looking for a skilled Tax Staff member to join our team in Hoffman Estates - 3x week onsite. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for public accounting and a commitment to delivering exceptional tax services to clients. You will play a key part in managing client accounts, preparing tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage client accounts by ensuring compliance, maintaining regular communication, and addressing their tax-related needs.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and offer tailored tax planning and projections.
  • Supervise and mentor entry-level staff, supporting their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with offshore team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in business development initiatives to contribute to the firm’s growth.
  • Ensure timely completion and delivery of tax services to meet client expectations.
  • Provide leadership in managing a book of business and strengthening client relationships.

  • At least 3 years of experience in tax preparation and client management, preferably in public accounting.
  • CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and compliance processes.
  • Proficiency in UltraTax, Qount, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a focus on client service.
  • Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
