Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN to join a Level I trauma center team with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating, and strong cardiac and robotics experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a hospital OR with 16 suites and a primary cardiac patient population
  • Service lines include cardiac / PV, neuro, ortho trauma, robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 1 with an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day
  • Specialized equipment includes three Davinci robots, Stealth Neuro navigation, Synthes and Stryker for ortho trauma
  • Both scrub and circulate roles are expected
  • Weekends involve call coverage from end of shift Friday until 0630am Monday
  • Float required across multiple campuses
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Role involves handling a wide range of cardiac, trauma, neuro, and robotic surgery cases
  • Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
  • Support provided by a large, multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
  • Scrubs are provided
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Previous employees are not eligible if employed at the client in the past 12 months

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active IA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience required
  • Proficiency in scrub and circulate roles required
  • Experience required in Gen, Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases
  • Level I trauma center OR experience required
  • Epic EMR experience within the last 3 years required
