Requirements
We're seeking a candidate with :
- Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of EHS management or coordinator experience (preferred)
- Experience leading safety programs, training, inspections, and regulatory compliance
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; SharePoint preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, including policy and report writing
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage employees at all levels
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Safety Program Leadership
Review, update, and implement all site safety policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA and Vantage EHS standardsConduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; track corrective actionsLead early-intervention efforts for workplace injuries, ergonomics, and hazard mitigationChair the Site Safety CommitteeOversee PPE selection, implementation, and maintenanceProvide safety coaching and training to supervisors and employees, focusing on Line-of-Fire, Ergonomics, and Slip / Trip / Fall preventionLead quarterly Safety Week events and support companywide EHS initiativesManage industrial hygiene testing and annual hearing conservation program2. Training & E-Learning
Develop and maintain online EHS training modules with the Vantage EHS teamEnsure compliance with the Vantage Training Matrix and regulatory requirementsSupport HR with new-hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS trainingMaintain accurate training documentation and compliance records3. Environmental Compliance
Manage hazardous waste generation, storage, labeling, reporting, and disposalEnsure compliance with air permits and emissions requirementsOversee stormwater program inspections and reportingManage hazardous materials handling, secondary containment, and spill responseMaintain required environmental logs, documentation, and reports4. Incident Management & Workers' Compensation
Serve as primary contact for workplace injuriesLead incident investigations and root-cause analysesManage workers' compensation claims in coordination with the EHS DirectorMaintain OSHA 300 logs and associated documentation5. Core Program Management
Responsible for leading and maintaining :
Lockout / TagoutForklift and Powered Industrial Truck programsHoist, Crane & Rigging safetyHazard Communication & SDS managementPPE programHearing ConservationRespiratory ProtectionContractor SafetyHot WorkFirst Aid, Eyewash & Emergency EquipmentFire Safety and extinguishersFacility evacuation and emergency responseErgonomic and job design evaluationsPaint booth safety and ventilation6. Additional Responsibilities
Maintain safety equipment inventories (first aid kits, extinguishers, etc.)Coordinate modified / light duty assignments with supervisorsProvide safety and liability guidance to Plant Manager and HRUpdate and post Federal and State labor law postingsSupport regulatory postings and ongoing documentation needsPerform job observations and site inspectionsRecommend safety equipment, tooling, and protective wearMaintain EHS records, including spill logs, accident reports, and OSHA documentationPerform other duties as assignedBenefits
