Pay : $48.96 - $53.58

Responsibilities

Summary : The Respiratory Therapist performs Pulmonary Function Technician will work independently in the Department of Internal Medicine outpatient locations and will be responsible for the following :

Essential Functions :

• Perform diagnostic tests on patients including spirometry measurements, vital lung capacity, functional residual capacity, determination of maldistribution of inspired air, arterial blood gas assays, and other pulmonary function testing as needed.
• Provide patient education including instructions in the proper use of inhalers and nebulizers.
• Complete all necessary documentation including billing forms when needed.
• Perform quality control procedures on test equipment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is active and requires the employee to constantly move about in the office to assist patients, staff and medical providers. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.
