Program Manager, GS-0340-15 Leadership Position

This is a Program Manager, GS-0340-15 Leadership Position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District and located in Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as the Deputy for Programs and Project Management and Chief of the Programs and Project Management Division.
• Work closely with the commander, deputies and other principal staff, providing continuity of corporate leadership in assessing district mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives.
• Responsible for the vertical and horizontal integration of products to produce the projects and manage the program for the district.
• Performing management functions such as interviewing and selecting personnel for key positions, approving personnel authorizations, making regional assignments to cope with workload changes, establish controls for fund expenditures.
• Establishing policy relating to the professional accomplishments of the assignments. Assure continuity of management in the executive office at times of change in commanders.

Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes at least 3 of the 4 following duties :

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas :

Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).

Education :

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial / probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
