Radiology Tech, CT

Reporting to the Manager of Radiology thisposition provides health care services, applying x-ray energy, computerprocessing or pulsed radiofrequency waves and magnetic energy to assist indiagnoses or treatment; performs related procedures producing images forinterpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner while exercisingprofessional judgment in performance of services, and applies appropriatepatient care recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completionof the procedure .

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :

1. Current certification by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) required within 6 months of hire.

a) ARRT - CT if working in CT

2. Current CPR certification required.

3. Certification by the State of California (CRT) required.

4. Certification by the State of California in Fluoroscopy required.

5. Certification by the State of California (CRT) inmammography required if working in that area.

6. Certificate of venipuncture for contrast mediainjection required within 6- months of hire if establishing new IV access forthe purpose of contrast injection.
