As a Data Engineer II , you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core data infrastructure of our platform. You will take ownership of high-performance data pipelines, drive technical excellence in our data lake and warehouse architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions that support our growth and compliance needs.
Responsibilities :
- Design & Develop Data Systems — Build scalable, resilient data pipelines and downstream architectures supporting analytics, mobile, and third-party B2B integrations.
- Optimize Performance, Security & Compliance — Enhance system performance, implement security best practices, and ensure adherence to AML, KYC, data privacy, and gaming regulations.
- Data Infrastructure & Analytics — Develop and maintain data pipelines for analytics, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting downstream of production data sources.
- Building data ingestions into a data lake
- Technical Ownership & Collaboration — Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, product managers, software engineers, and DevOps teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Operational Excellence — Participate in incident response, monitoring, and root cause analysis to ensure system stability and security.
- Mentorship & Innovation — Share knowledge with team members, promote best practices, and explore emerging technologies relevant to gaming analytics.
Qualifications :
2-4 years data engineering experienceProven experience in designing, building, and scaling high-performance data systems.Strong expertise in Python for backend development, automation, and data processing.Experience with Athena and SQLExperience with Snowflake, Redshift and BigQueryExperience with Apache Airflow / Data Orchestration ToolsExperience with AWS KinesisProficiency in CI / CD processes and infrastructure automation within cloud environments.Experience in data pipeline architecture, analytics, and data warehouse / lake management.Ability to work independently on complex refactors and contribute to architectural decisions.Familiarity with cloud tooling (e.g., AWS), compliance (AML, KYC, data privacy), and system performance tuning.Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.This is a Hybrid position with Monday through Thursday in our Boston office near South Station and the option of working remotely on Fridays.
