PeopleShare has an opening for a Production Machine Operator in Pennsauken, NJ. This individual will run a food production machine in a traditional manufacturing environment. These are 12 hour shifts and can be either AM or PM shift. Candidates must have previous experience operating production machines in a manufacturing environment, this is NOT a forklift operator position! Title : Production Machine Operator Location : Pennsauken, NJ 08110 Type : 4 month contract-to-hire Pay : $19.67 / hr Schedule : AM and PM shifts available on rotating 12 hour 2-2-3 shifts (3 day weekend off every other week!)
AM shift : 5 : 45 AM - 6 : 00 PM, 2-2-3 shiftPM shift : 5 : 45 PM - 6 : 00 AM, 2-2-3 shift
Responsibilities :
- Operate machinery, to include machine set-up, operation, change overs, and troubleshooting, to detect product (raw or finished) defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary
- Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards at and around machinery
- Perform SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for machinery in assigned area
- Cross training or training on equipment as defined by manager
- Maintain accurate document documentation
- Maintain and issue raw materials into assigned work orders
- Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
- Maintain good attendance record per company policy
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Requirements :
High School Diploma or GEDProficient in operating up to 2 production machines, including operation, set-ups, change overs and troubleshooting of multiple machinesAbility to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes / bootsAbility to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoningAbility to use various hand tools (knife, water house, band cutters, can opener, scales, Telnet scanners, various small hand tools as required for position / product testing)Previous experience operating a forklift (for applicable work areas)Lock out / tag out certifiedPossess a continuous improvement and team orientated mind setWork Environment : Traditional manufacturing environment; with exposure to
