Experienced Dialysis Billing Coordinator

1-2 Years of Experience in dialysis billing in an outpatient or hospital setting

Must have basic computer proficiency with familiarity with Windows / Microsoft Office, Word.

Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health records (HER) systems.

Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT / HCPCS codes, and ICD-10 code is often required or preferred.

DUTIES :

Generating monthly billable charges for designated dialysis patients.

Submitting claims to insurance companies and other payers.

Following up on unpaid claims, including re-billing, secondary billing, and correcting errors.

Investigating and appealing denied claims.

Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Working with patients to resolve billing issues and set up payments plans.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Updating patient accounts with charges and payments

Managing accounts receivable and collections

Reviewing and reconciling patient accounts.

Generating reports on outstanding balances and collections.
