Responsibilities

INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH

The Production Department at the College of Performing Arts seeks highly motivated students to serve as Technical Production, Student Assistant Specialists. Were looking for reliable and engaging individuals to support initiatives within the Concerts & Events area. This position currently reports to the Director of Performance Technology, Technical Supervisor, and will report to the Events Production Manager. This is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in theater production and live event and concert management.

This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup, move and strike all concert and event furniture and equipment safely and as directed
• Function as run crew during performances
• Clean and tidy the stage, including picking up tape and trash, tidying and taping down cables, and occasional sweeping / mopping
• Relay communications to artists, front of house and technical teams using communication tools including walkie talkies, com, signage etc as directed
• Support Event Managers and Stage Managers
• Additional duties as assigned

WORK MODE

SALARY RANGE

Hourly Rate : $18

Hours per Week : This position is scheduled pending departmental and performance calendar needs, not to exceed 20 hours across all positions in a given week.
