Pioneer Recycling Services , a Waste Connections company, is searching for our next All-Star Equipment Operator  to join us at our transfer station in Clackamas, OR (16810 SE 120th Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015).

Starting rate of pay is  $31.00 / hour

Schedule is Monday – Friday , with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Shift is 12 : 30 PM – 9 : 00 PM

Safety Sensitive :   Yes

Qualified candidates must have  Front End Loader & Forklift experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Equipment Operators are responsible for running the loader that supports our MRF operations.
  • REQUIRES  ability to efficiently & safely operate  Front End Loader & Forklift . Compactor experience
  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

    • MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 500-hours  of  Heavy Equipment Operating  experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school .
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
  • Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include  drug panel screening &   criminal background check.
