Merchandiser
The Merchandiser ensures that products are available in stores at the appropriate inventory levels at the customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
Essential job duties include :
- Travels to customer site.
- Stock and replenish merchandise on sales floor
- Helps with installation of new fixtures.
- Ensure that all products are tagged properly.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising : ensure displays are neat, fronted, clean, and in compliance with plan-ograms or fixture layouts.
- Pulls out of date products from shelf and processes product orders.
- Cleans store racks and shelving and inspects condition of equipment.
- Maintaining stock rooms and back-of-house areas; keep workspace clean, and organized.
- Resolves problems at customer locations.
- Unloads delivery truck and ensures new product is placed in appropriate area.
- Follow FIFO procedures by placing newer inventory behind older stock, ensuring proper product rotation, and minimizing waste.

This job works under only general instructions and is expected to accomplish work assignments with a limited amount of supervision.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Knowledge and skill requirements include :
Language Ability : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and understand English.Math Ability : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills : Ability to work with basic computer skills.Education and experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Lifting Requirements : Repeatedly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs (typically boxes, product displays, or equipment) for periods of up to 23 hours per shift.Able to read and comprehend labels.Standing / Walking : Up to 68 hours per shift on sales floor or during outdoor walks.Bending / Reaching : Frequent (approximately 50% of shift) for stocking shelves, merchandising, or retrieving items.Climbing Ladders / Using Stepstools : Occasional to moderate (e.g., 1020 times per shift) for accessing overhead shelves or signage.The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Physically capable of unloading and stocking materials, products, and bins.Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.This is a physically demanding position that requires manual labor in a merchandising setting.Work Environment

Work is performed in a retail store environment and disruptions occur frequently.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.Retail / outdoor / various store locations; may work in varied weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain)Fast-paced environment with high guest traffic.Travel Required
