Overview

Location : Fort Carson, CO

Hours of Performance : The performance hours of the MTF are as follows : In general, all Dental Clinics are open between the hours of 0600-1700, Monday-Friday. Routine Clinic hours may vary by location.

Regular dental services may be scheduled between 0600 hrs. (6 : 00 a.m.) and 2200 (10 : 00 p.m.) hrs. Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. Federal holidays. Depending on mission requirements, services may be required on weekends.

Pay : $20.26 / hr, Health & Wellness $4.93

Qualifications

Education : All dental assistants shall be a graduate from a formal dental assistant training program. The training or education program must include coursework on radiation physics, biology, health, safety / protection, X- ray films / digital radiography, image quality, and radiographic techniques that meets or exceeds 42 C.F.R. Part 75 (Credentialing of Radiologic Personnel) requirements. A list of 42 C.F.R. Part 42 compliant programs is available from the COTR. To petition to add a program to the verified list, a completed radiographic certification sheet may be provided to the COTR (Exhibit 4). If a candidate's radiographic training is found to be unacceptable or cannot be verified, a 42 C.F.R. compliant program must be completed prior to beginning work on the contract.

Experience : Have a minimum of six (6) months of clinical dental assisting experience within the last three years.

Certification : Shall be certified in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) that is approved by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association and reads Healthcare Provider Course in the subjects listed prior to beginning performance at the Dental Health.
