In the GI Lab you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, GI techs, and CNAs, working seamlessly with anesthesia and GI services to deliver exceptional care. You'll play a vital role in ensuring top-tier care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Assisting with advanced GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, manometry, Fibro Scan, PillCam, Bravo, and HALO. Additionally, you'll provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. Rotating through all areas of GI will offer you a diverse and stimulating work environment. Our department boasts advanced certifications in GI specialties, providing opportunities for you to expand your skills and knowledge. With an in-house educator, you'll have access to tailored education and in-services to enhance your career development.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, you will play a vital role in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units. Provide patient care such as : ambulation, bathing, toileting, obtaining vital signs, all while maintaining a safe environment. Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner. Demonstrate basic computer skills to accurately record vital patient information.
License / Certification / Education
BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)-Required CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)-Required High School or Equivalent-Preferred
