In this criticallyimportantrole, you willlead efforts toidentify, evaluate, and execute strategic opportunities that align with our long-term business goals. This role requires aunique blend of strategic deal-making, technical fluency, and a proven ability to monetize platform capabilities. It requires you toeffectively communicate complex solutionsfor fan and creator engagement, engage withmultiple Sony entities andother strategic partners,andcollaborateclosely with the Product Managementteamsand StrategyPlanning teams.You will bring years of diverseexpertisein business strategyin the entertainment and Enterprise SaaSspacethat requires focus and fortitude to drive resultsandfoster long-termrelationshipthat create value for our customers.
This position is a hybrid role requiring2-3days on-site inourCulver City,CAor San Diego, CA,Office.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue, partnerships, and market expansion.
Drive business conversationswith clients, partners, and internal stakeholders,demonstratingstrongunderstanding of technology productsand ability totranslate technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value propositions.
Bring in revenue withclearmonetization planby providing technical context, strategic positioning, relationship development, and success metrics.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic alliances, and otherbusinessgrowthopportunities.
Own the end-to-end deal process, from prospecting and due diligence to negotiation and post-deal integrationthat will lead tothe long-term vision.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis toidentifyemerging trends and whitespace opportunities.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align partnership and product strategies.
Collaborate with internal staff, management teams, and external Sony entities (including subject matter authorities, technology teams, data governance, legal, security teams, etc.) toidentifyand communicate expectations and tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
BA/BS Degreein Business or relevant area of studyin the technical fieldAND a minimum of15years of professional work experienceinBusiness Development, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Development, or similar roles. MBAor advancedtechnical degreeisa significant plus.
Strong understanding of technology products and the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
Proventrack recordof sourcing, structuring, and closing strategic deals.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillswitha track recordof successfully engaging and influencing C-level stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively and expertly with cross-functional groups acrossdivisions,worldwide, as a team.
Exceptional leadership versatility; able to effectively communicate and negotiate across all levels—from driving strategic alignment with C-suite executives to providing hands-on support for frontline execution.
Proficient in driving and implementing strategicpartnershipplans, coupled with a creative approach to solving challenges that may not have readilyapparentsolutions.
Possesses outstanding financial and quantitative analysis skills toidentifytrendsimpactingthe businessand synthesize findings in clearbusiness language.
Bringsvaluable experience in domestic and international businesslandscapes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.
Japanese language skills is a plus.
Familiarity with other Sonyaffiliates isa significant advantage.

Theanticipatedannual base salary for this position is $185,000 to $210,000.In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 22%.Thisrange does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
