Job Details
The Family Medicine team is uniquely trained to care for patients as a whole person, regardless of age or sex. The cornerstone of Family Medicine is an ongoing, personal relationship between caregivers and patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes. By joining the Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant Team Lead, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. Because you will be a Team Lead in this role, you will also act as a mentor to the other Medical Assistants and be the first in line to help solve patients' problems. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes.
A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 8 : 00AM 4 : 30PM. Start and end times are flexible.
A caregiver who excels in this role will :
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1). Three years of recent clinical experience as a Medical Assistant. Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience. Current demonstrated clinical competency. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
American Academy of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification.
