Analyst, Tax

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our Accounting & Tax department. This position will be located in Arlington, Virginia and will be responsible for assisting in tax provision, compliance, and controversy matters for income taxes. The position will report to the Senior Manager, Tax and work closely with the rest of the Accounting and Tax team to carry out the responsibilities described below:

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision, including financial statement disclosures
• Assist with tax compliance efforts for income taxes for Venture Global’s US and foreign operations
• Support business and tax planning projects that optimize cash taxes on company investments
• Support the budgeting and forecasting efforts related to taxes
• Identify opportunities to improve and/or automate processes to increase quality and efficiency
• Support indirect tax efforts, including data analysis, research, filings, and inquiries, as needed
• Other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an accounting, tax, or finance discipline
• Certified Public Account (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is a plus
• Utilize a pro-active problem solving mindset to achieve business and tax objectives
• Strong work ethic and be comfortable working with evolving priorities
• Able to operate effectively and effciently in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
• 1 - 2 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of multinational company, or combination thereof
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships to achieve team goals
• Strong data skills using Excel with a drive to automate processes
• Familiarity with SAP and Coupa is a plus
