Fairview Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Assist with general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks
Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner
Support upkeep of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems as directed
Maintain facility grounds, including basic outdoor maintenance and seasonal tasks
Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and equipment remain safe and in good working condition
Assist with moving equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed
Follow safety procedures and infection control guidelines
Support emergency preparedness and facility safety initiatives
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous maintenance, facilities, or building services experience preferred
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Ability to use hand tools and maintenance equipment safely
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Full-time position
Day shift; occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support may be required based on facility needs
