This is a remote role in the US.

Pay Range :  $50 / hr – $55 / hr

Our client is a leader in the tech and VR space. Help build chcaracter pipelines as a Technical Artist for world-class products that span AR, VR, MR, and mobile. They are focused on building people-first experiences.

The Technical Artist is responsible for exploring / creating art pipelines, and building assets that help teams execute designs that will define the future of VR and mobile products.

Responsibilities :

• Character asset delivery from vendor to engine
• Asset setup, preparation and polish including skinning and optimizations for automated intake system
• Partner closely with the engineering, tech art and design teams
• Review and prioritize work across multiple projects.
• Support the creation of templatized digital clothing assets.
• Responsible for outlining asset authoring guidelines, process and pipeline as needed.
• Work with engineers and technical artists to build tools and support for asset creation pipelines.
• Asset optimization — topology reduction, draw call reduction, texture baking, etc.
• Work closely with engineers to implement interactive objects and systems.
• Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads.
• Collaborate and iterate based on the team’s needs.
• Develop broad technical expertise in a unique asset pipeline to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks.
