Location: This position is based in Fort Collins, CO, with the option for hybrid work allowing 12 days remote once fully established.
Requirements: Must have at least 4 years of public accounting experience focusing on tax (not audit, industry, or government) and hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting. CPA or EA certification is highly preferred (or willing and eligible to obtain).

Responsibilities:
- Manage a division of approximately 4050 clients, overseeing accounting, tax, and advisory services
- Lead and mentor Staff Accountants: recruit, train, mentor, supervise, and review work
- Review monthly financial reports ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness
- Lead initial strategy sessions with new clients and oversee onboarding through staff handoff
- Develop trusted relationships with business owners and act as their strategic advisor year-round
- Monitor client profitability and recommend fee adjustments based on work scope, time, and transactions
- Provide tax planning, prepare and review tax returns, address tax authorities, and offer tax advice
- Enhance processes, utilize technology (including AI tools), and enhance efficiency within your division
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of public accounting experience with significant tax exposure (preferably not solely audit-focused)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required
- CPA or EA certification preferred (or willing and eligible to obtain)
- Experience in leading teams, reviewing work, and maintaining high standards with a supportive coaching approach
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and relationship-building
- Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset, presenting solutions rather than problems
- Forward-thinking attitude towards technology adoption for improved quality and efficiency
