Senior HMIS Coordinator- Eswatini
Eswatini Ministry of Health established the Strategic Information Department (SID) in 2009 and fully operationalized in July 2023. The department is headed by the Chief Strategic Information Officer (CSIO). The SID envisions improved health outcomes driven by evidence-based decision making in pursuit for a healthy a nation achieved through strengthening strategic information facets. The SID is the one centre of health data and should at all times link decision makers and implanter with quality data.
The Senior HMIS Coordinator is responsible for providing high-level administrative, operational and coordination support to ensure the efficient functioning of the organisation. The role focuses on streamlining administrative processes, managing office operations, supporting programmes and management teams, and strengthening internal systems for effective service delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
The specific tasks of the Senior HMIS Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following :
Administrative support
- Oversee daily administrative operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Manage office resources, supplies, equipment, and inventory to maintain an efficient working environment.
- Draft, review, and manage official correspondence, memos, and administrative documents.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, and itineraries for staff and official missions.
- Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital) and ensure secure document management.
- Assist with coordination of SI TWG meetings including ccoordination and maintain matrix of activities under the different MOH-SID Implementing partners
Administrative support

Serve as a focal point for internal communication between departments and management.Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, including preparation of materials and minutes.Support coordination of cross-functional activities and ensure timely follow-up on action points.Support preparation of administrative reports for management decision-making.Human Resources Administrative Support
Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new staff.Maintain and update staff records, leave management, and administrative HR documentation.Support performance management processes through timely coordination of required documentationRequired Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences-Social work, or related field.Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in administration or office management, preferably within the Health sector.Proven Experience in government, NGO, or development sector is an added advantage.Technical competencies
Strong knowledge of office administration and management principles.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and administrative softwareBehaviorial competencies
