One of our clients is seeking a Teacher Aide / Dedicated Aide experience to provide services to children (K-12) in the Washington, DC area. Compensation rate is $17.50 / + an hour.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Assist students with daily activities, including academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care as needed.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities, following their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans and modify instructional materials for diverse learning needs.
• Help students understand and complete assignments, providing encouragement and motivation.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and assist with conflict resolution.
• Monitor student behavior, providing feedback and reporting concerns to the teacher.
• Assist in classroom management, ensuring a structured and supportive learning environment.
• Help prepare classroom materials and organize resources for lessons and activities.
• foster effective communication between students, teachers, and parents, sharing insights about student progress and needs.
• Attend meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student performance and IEP goals.
• Participate in training and workshops to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in special education.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and any behavioral incidents as required.
