Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: 12-15 hours per week
• Flexibility: Choose your preferred working days and times
• Compensation: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on experience
• Additional Perks: Travel time paid at the same hourly rate, in addition to onsite working hours

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough nutrition assessments for patients identified as being at nutritional risk, adhering to established protocols and evidence-based guidelines.
• Create, implement, and track customized care plans aimed at optimizing recovery and patient health outcomes.
• Deliver nutrition counseling and education to patients and families, emphasizing disease management, recovery strategies, and the prevention of hospital readmissions.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team to provide coordinated and patient-centered care.
• Ensure meticulous and prompt documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Monitor patient progress, reviewing lab results, weights, and clinical parameters to refine nutrition interventions as necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve as a crucial nutrition resource for hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Active state dietitian license (or eligibility).
• 1-3 years of recent clinical experience in acute or rehabilitation hospital settings (required).
• Experience in enteral/parenteral nutrition is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time-management abilities.
• Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
