Electrical Inspector

The Electrical Inspector is responsible for inspecting electrical systems for compliance with applicable regulations. They will inspect electrical systems for safety hazards, and will make recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V.

Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards.

Able to safely supervise electrical contract work.

Able to effectively interface with electrical engineers.

Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Team-oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits.

Proficient at reading electrical installation drawings, circuit schedules, plans, area class, motor schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Deliver scheduled projects on time.

Strong knowledge of automation and electrical design principles and industry standards.

Understanding of Pre-Start Safety Review process (PSSRs) and Management of Change (MOCs).

Understanding of Oil and Gas production facility processes and control systems.

Proficient in use of engineering documents such as Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effects (C&Es), Control Narratives, Wiring Diagrams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel.

Works safely around instrumentation and electrical systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

3+ years working experience in Oil and Gas as an Electrical Inspector constructing Electrical / Automation control preferred.

Must exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with management, technical, and field personnel.

Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility, and Fit for Duty.
