Job Duties and Other Information :
Position-Spec Location : LSU Health New Orleans 1100 Florida Blvd New Orleans, LA 70119 Hours of Operation : 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm Monday - Friday Appointment Type : Probationary Appointment-This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months. Compensation : Rate of Pay is dependent upon applicants' qualifications. This position is part of a CPG, a part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a (Dental Assistant 1 or 2) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). There is also an additional $1 Longevity Pay for every hour worked. Job Duties As a Dental Assistant 1 or 2 you will assist in the care of handling of patients during dental treatment which involves setting up, missing, and passing of surgical instruments and materials, taking radiographs, patient education and giving post-operative instructions, cleaning and disinfecting treatment areas after procedures.
