Job Description
This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm but on call as needed. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm and Saturdays from 8am-2pm. Located in San Diego at Scripps Coastal Medical Center – Hillcrest. This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Director level.

- Currently, SCMC Hillcrest specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Rheumatology with 30+ providers spanning across three floors including the lab.
What you’ll do:
- Be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an outpatient patient care unit or departments, including financial and operational performance, service excellence, and internal communications.
- Work with the management staff of the practice unit and departments to coordinate strategic planning of business units and the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices and non-physician staff.
- Provide leadership and direction to managers, supervisors, and leads to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes, and superior internal and external customer service.
- Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Position Pay Range: $58.12-$86.22/hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Four years of direct management experience in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to effectively direct healthcare business and operational practices.
- Ability to develop long-term plans for healthcare operations.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other applicable systems.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Specific skills/experience in practice unit’s medical specialties preferred.
- Lean management experience.
