Irrigation Specialist FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
We are seeking a dedicated Irrigation Specialist who is supervised by or is a licensed irrigator per local ordinances, to efficiently service, modify, and / or install irrigation systems.
Key Responsibilities :

Respond promptly to client needs and ensure satisfaction with services provided.Keep the Owner / Manager informed about all client concerns and communications.Maintain a positive, flexible attitude with all clients.Inspect job sites and advise clients on potential liabilities.Communicate effectively in English and / or Spanish.Safety ManagementPromote and maintain safe working conditions at all times.
Wear and care for required PPE in accordance with local, state, federal, and OSHA laws.Ensure secure storage of all products and work areas following local and federal regulations.Brand ComplianceKeep the service vehicle and equipment clean and professional in appearance.
Equipment ManagementEnsure all assigned equipment and tools are well-maintained following proper schedules.
Be accountable for the care and proper use of assigned equipment.Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of all tools, operating them as directed.Quality Control / SchedulingQuality Control
Maintain all jobs to established specifications.
Ensure client satisfaction for job renewals.Repair all disturbed areas caused by trenching or digging to original specifications.Irrigation DutiesKnow the locations of all water meters and backflow shut-off devices.
Inform owner / manager of needed irrigation repairs.Monitor and adjust irrigation controllers effectively.Aim for zero loss of plant material due to poor controller management.Field OperationsTest, run, and inspect each system, recording details on the Irrigation Service Request form.
Set controllers according to contractual obligations and maintain a water-wise approach.Make adjustments to irrigation patterns, dates, and timings as needed.Conduct necessary repairs like fixing line breaks or replacing faulty heads and valves.Document all work hours, materials used, and any renovation recommendations.Locate existing backflows and prepare detailed zone charts for systems.Work independently when required and adapt to various tasks daily.Be available for on-call emergency situations.Office and AdministrationRead and write effectively in English, following both oral and written instructions.
Organize and implement work schedules efficiently.Complete all required forms and adhere to updated procedures.Stay informed about current industry products and equipment.Follow all local, state, and federal irrigation regulations.Keep the area for irrigation parts / supplies safe for all employees.Possess a valid State driver's license that complies with company standards.Typical Qualifications :
