A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the upcoming academic year in Exeter, CA, supporting an elementary school setting. This full-time contract role spans from August 6, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with an average caseload of 50 students ranging from Pre-K through 5th grade. The position involves delivering direct speech and language services onsite during an 8-hour day, typically starting between 7:30 and 7:45 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals.
- Provide SLPA services following Individualized Education Program (IEP) guidelines.
- Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists, educators, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Active SLPA license in good standing.
- Experience working with children in early childhood and elementary settings preferred.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
