Actalent is in search for (2) Superintendents who will be responsible for the on-site leadership, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $30M. This role oversees daily field operations, ensures safety compliance, manages subcontractor performance, and drives projects toward successful completion in alignment with schedule, quality, and budget expectations.
Field Leadership & Execution
- Manage all on-site construction activities and lead daily field operations.
- Develop and execute short-interval schedules to maintain overall project timelines.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and materials delivery.
- Ensure work is completed to quality standards and complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
Safety Management
- Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards to protect workers and the public.
- Communication & Coordination
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Participate in OAC, coordination, and subcontractor meetings.
- Provide clear daily communication regarding project progress, issues, and needs.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower logs, and documentation.
- Support RFI, submittal, and change management processes.
- Ensure project site complies with environmental, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience in a superintendent or assistant superintendent role.
- Experience with project sizes ranging from $500K to $30M.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, sequencing, and trade coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ground-up, tenant improvement, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use commercial projects.
- Familiarity with local subcontractor market and permitting processes.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or similar.
