Job Description

This is a remote position. Key Responsibilities:

1. Shipping and Receiving Oversight: Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of products. Oversee the handling, packaging, and storing of goods in preparation for shipping.
2. Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary shipping materials. Implement inventory control processes to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
3. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics companies and courier services for shipping. Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping carriers to optimize costs.
4. Quality Control: Ensure the quality and safety of products during the shipping process. Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain the integrity of goods.
5. Team Leadership and Training: Lead and manage the shipping department team, providing training and guidance to staff members. Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages efficiency and productivity.
6. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and laws. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipping activities.
7. Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and issues related to shipping. Work closely with customer service teams to resolve any shipment-related complaints or problems.
8. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve shipping processes for greater efficiency. Implement new technologies or methods to enhance shipping and receiving operations.
9. Budget Management: Manage the budget for the shipping department, including cost analysis and reporting.
10. Emergency Response: Handle emergency situations effectively, such as delays or damaged goods, ensuring minimal impact on company operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of shipping management experience
• Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in shipping software and database management.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
