[job_card.job_description]Job Description - Cath Lab Tech Cath Lab Tech Job Summary Cath Lab Technologist needed for a 13-week travel assignment. The technologist will be responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including scrubbing for cases and monitoring patients. They will also be expected to take call shifts and maintain a sterile field. Key Responsibilities Scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab cases. Accurate monitoring and recording of patient vital signs and hemodynamic data. Equipment set up and troubleshooting. Performing EKG lead placement. Preparing access site for procedures. Recognizing and responding to life-threatening arrhythmias. Room circulating duties. Maintaining a sterile field. Operating Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose). Maintaining equipment and inventory. Stocking supplies. Insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion and cardiac ablation (Preferred). Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab. Experience with ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Right heart catheterization, and Temporary Pacemaker. MD Board of Physicians certification BLS certification. ACLS certification. ARRT or RCIS certification. Must have the Flu vaccine. 1 prior travel assignment required. Must have compact license or MD license. Preferred Qualifications Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, interventional radiology, and special procedures experience. Experience with insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, and cardiac ablation. Experience with Cerner charting system.
