Assembly Operator II
Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $24.15/hr
Job Overview:
TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Operator II to assemble and test electronic and mechanical components based on established work instructions and manufacturing drawings. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail, strong soldering skills, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Component Assembly: Assemble parts and products following standardized work instructions, blueprints, assembly drawings, and SOPs/OMS.
  • Testing & Inspection: Test electronic and mechanical assemblies with precision, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Soldering: Solder small components and wires as required (prior soldering experience is essential).
  • Microscope Use: Perform fine, detailed assembly tasks using microscopes and small hand tools.
  • Documentation: Accurately read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area consistent with 5S principles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives to improve processes and product quality.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and team leader directions.
  • Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned; support quality control and provide technical assistance for process adjustments.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, ideally in soldering and component assembly.
  • High school diploma or GED required; mechatronics/electronics technician degree or certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read manufacturing drawings and related documents.
  • Hands-on experience using microscopes and small hand tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Experience with blueprints, process diagrams, or schematics.
  • Understanding and application of quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to comply with all safety and work protocols.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, use hands for detailed tasks, and lift up to 15 lbs unassisted (occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level to early-career candidates with basic relevant experience.
  • Previous soldering or small part assembly experience highly valued.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent required; post-secondary technical education preferred.
